It is interesting how over the years the variety and supply of fabrics and textiles in Canada has dwindled dramatically. Ever since the production of mainstream goods began to move overseas, the selection of high quality textiles in Canada has dwindled dramatically.
Many years ago, broadcloth was a major revenue driver as compared to the present day where it represents merely a fringe product line. It seems unlikely that the fabric and textile industry will go back to its former glory, but stranger things have happened.
