Broadcloth Fabric brings the Festival of Banners to Life

The Orrilla Festival of Banners is in its fourth year since inception and has provided opportunity to artists to bring forth their art in front of people as per a given theme. Artists in the Otrilla area ready their brushes during the festival to paint their masterstrokes on a canvas of none other a material than broadcloth.

We at Hometex have been selling bolts of  broadcloth for a long time now and have never really imagined the demand for the fabric as a means to showcase art. Hometex is one name in the online textile provider industry, which is increasing its presence in providing great fabric and textile products. Be it cheesecloth, broadcloth, backdrop fabric or flannelette, we have made a mark in the market for providing your fabric requirements at your doorstep.

We have always been in demand for Burlap to enhance the look in a wedding and for the rustic look on occasions; broadcloth also has been in demand by locals, but such large-scale requirement for an art festival actually swept us off our feet.

We have had a rush in demand for broadcloth thanks to this festival, which as they say is “Art for the people, by the people”. The focus here is promotion of art by the youth as opposed to other art festivals. The festival of Banners particularly promotes art and culture for people to enjoy. To minimize the expenditure on the festival, basic material and cost effective methods are adopted.

Broadcloth makes an ideal and cost effective material for utilization as a canvas for such a large number of people to paint their banners. Hometex is a Canadian business house, which likes to encourage participation in Local Canadian events, and we are one source to meet your requirements of broadcloth, which is difficult to find in the local market. We do have a simple ordering procedure and ensure speedy delivery to your doorstep.

To do our bit towards strengthening traditions and ensuring a great rural  Festival of Banners, we are offering discounted coupons for participants buying from us during the period.  We are ready to give you a 5% discount, if you give us a click able link on your website and mention us in any print media. So if you are looking to let go with your colors, broadcloth is definitely your banner and we are your providers.

Where has all the fabric gone?

It is interesting how over the years the variety and supply of fabrics and textiles in Canada has dwindled dramatically. Ever since the production of mainstream goods began to move overseas, the selection of high quality textiles in Canada has dwindled dramatically.

Many years ago, broadcloth was a major revenue driver as compared to the present day where it represents merely a fringe product line. It seems unlikely that the fabric and textile industry will go back to its former glory, but stranger things have happened.
